We are a food sourcing company for overseas clients, who wish to import quality food products from South Africa on a regular basis.   We have been established since 1994, initially in Capetown and since 2003 in the Overberg area, near Paarl/Stellenbosch. Our business' Patron has always been the former, first democratic President, Mr. Nelson "MADIBA" Mandela! Our office is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of this country, FRANSCHHOEK which is also one of the major centres for fresh fruits and excellent wines.   Our climate in this area is sub-tropical and is ideal for the growth of fine wine & table grapes, as well as excellent fresh fruits such as grapes, stonefruits (apricots, peaches & plums), apples, pears, citrus, lemons and grapefruits. Our company started when South African wine and fruit exports were deregulated in 1994, in the new democratic "Rainbow Nation".   Our growth is based on dedicated commitment to excellence in service and quality, as well as a spirit of enterprise, developed over 53 years of sourcing and marketing various South African products worldwide.   In doing so we are motivated by our firm belief that business should be conducted on the basis of integrity, transparency and a cooperative partnership of "live and let live", to the benefit of all parties involved. We source our products from leading producers and food processors in the Franschhoek/ Paarl/Stellenbosch areas, as well as in the Eastern Cape and Mpumalanga in the North (Gauteng Province). These suppliers are personally selected by us for their high quality standards, reliability, service efficiency and continuity and most of them have ISO, HACCP, BRS and/or KOSHER certifications.   Some of our farmers are also organically certified and all suppliers apply "fair trade" principles in terms of their employees.   We market these products to overseas clients, who are either supermarket chains or specialist wholesale distributors, mainly in Continental Europe incl. Scandinavia and the Middle & Far East, including China.   We operate completely transparently, on the basis that we introduce our suppliers to our overseas clients, conduct all negotiations for them and once agreement has been reached our suppliers issue an official confirmation to the client, who will pay for the goods directly on mutually agreed terms.   As an independant sourcing company we are in a position to select the best available products throughout South Africa, without being tied to any one supplier in particular. This is important so that we are not dependant on seasonal weather conditions which can affect harvests.   Thus we are able to offer the most competitive prices in a variety of types and grades, per product range. In this way we act as your local "partner-on-the-spot", sending you regular market reports and general information about our economy as well.   Where desired we endeavour to meet our clients' special needs on an individual basis.   This policy approach should save you much valuable time and costs in terms of overseas travel and accommodation in our very large country (1.2 million sq.km), aspects which have become very important in view of the current economic world situation.
